First set of Q and A responses! Thank you everyone who asked questions!
I'll work on the other answers throughout this week.
Ohhhh I seriously love this! The retro looking style with the print texture looks super neat and authentic, and I love all of Gideon’s responses. So many pasta related questions for him haha.
This concept as a whole is excellent, it’s always fun to get extra trivia like this from the characters. I wish I had questions of my own to ask, I absolutely would have if any came to mind but maybe next time if you do this again. I look forward to seeing the rest of the responses!
Thank you!!! I'm glad you like the retro look, I'm personally enamored by it. It was an easy way to make things look nice without sinking trillions of hours into it.
I'll definitely be hosting another AMA in the future! These are always so fun.
You're welcome! And yesss it looks really visually appealing, I love this style so much and I hope to see more of it in the future. There's something very cozy and nostalgic about it.
Ooh nice! I hope I'll have some questions at that point.
I really like how Gideon uses a similar base to clay sculptures. (i only know this because I watch Ace of Clay. I can't sculpt to save my life)
I can't sculpt either, but my spouse does. I learned from him that you need to use a frame underneath everything instead of just using SOLID CLAY
btw I realized I forgot to credit you in the Q and A response after I saw your comment. Just fixed it.
Gideon's answer to my question is...surprisingly poignant. Guy needs a hug, kinda.
Aaa! These are SO cute! Love the old newspaper texture look you added to these as well!
I like this breather chapter, and the retro zine style’s a good compromise of “I want this out quickly”, “I want this to be easy to draw” and “I want this to look good.
