I'm exceptionally happy with how this page turned out. This is how I've always imagined his house and here it is! Now you all get to see what I've had in my head the past 12 years.

Wait until he discovers that melting Sour Gummeez in the correct proportions will allow him to add more color to his noodle creations...
Hey. I saw the process of this page over on the forums. Really awesome to see it done.
Thank you! This was a bit of a tough page to finish, but it was worth it and I’m glad you like it!
I tried to embed a Youtube vid of a sci-fi suspense sting but it failed so don't mind me
I do love Gideon's unbridled delight at finding the gummies in his cupboard, AS IF HE HIMSELF DID NOT PUT THEM THERE
I think we can all strive to be at that level of wonderment
Oh man Gideon sure does love his Sour Gummeez, doesn’t he? It’s like when you buy ice cream and forget about it and find it unopened in the back of the freezer. A gift to yourself!
...Or maybe he’s just excited that he has sour gummies, as if he doesn’t have 50 more bags in his pantry
i'm really loving the 90s cartoon look of this comic. also you FOOL you've been spotted!
Well now I want some junk food too! Also that kitchen looks lovely - in a real lived-in no nonsense sort of way. Like a kitchen of a friend.
Thanks! I love drawing home interiors that feel real and lived-in, I'm glad that the feeling is coming through! I wanted to add in a lot of those old gold/orange/avocado knickknacks that were common in the 70s and early 80s because they just make sense for him to have for some reason.
Whoa, did Gideon make it to the 3 for $1 sale for those sour gummies? Or did he have to pay full price? The world must know ("the world" being me).
It remains to be seen if he actually bought them or if he ran out the door with several bags under his arms.
I think that's the most wonderful thing about doing art in that you can get stuff from inside your head down on 'paper' so everyone can see what's in there and relate to it. The fact that you've carried this place in your head for 12 years would probably fascinate a therapist but as a voyeur it feels exciting to me to be able to look inside your head too.
PS: That last panel is so cool, it sent a shiver down my spine.
