Uh-oh, looks like we're gonna watch someone play some VIDYA.
Funfact: I created Hopper when I was about to turn five and he was the first character I ever created. I've changed his design very little since then, aside from the fact that I was much worse at drawing at that age. All I did was recolor his vest from brown to purple. This is pretty much how I wanted him to look when I was a little kid.
Dolphin Dena looks like Larry the Cucumber. Oops.
I would play that game. It looks like it's a Rare game and in the Banjo Kazooie family, and believe me that is a compliment!
Thank you! When I designed the look of this game, I was thinking about games I would have loved as a kid (and as an adult). I was thinking about games like Banjo-Tooie and Donkey Kong Country a lot when doing these pages, coincidentally. I was also referencing the first Rayman for PS1 because it's a gorgeous game and I grew up with it. I've always loved cartoon games.
Man, the password thing really reminds me of this old spongebob game I used to play. I don't know why, the memory's just vivid XD Definitely getting strong Banzo Kazooie vibes here though. :D
Which game was it? I had a lot of SpongeBob games for PS2 back in the day, lol!!
Ah, good ol' password systems in video games. Very much reminds of SNES-era games, especially with how simple the story of this game seems to be. Hopper just helping out whenever he's needed.
Remembering the passwords was not easy! I'm glad that ROMs of old games enable save states now.
That dolphin’s face in the last panel is sending me, hah! I’m also getting reminded of Donkey Kong Country because of the tree-house, cute stuff.
