DEMPSEY
THE RETURN OF THE KING
Alrighty, so this is the last page in my backlog and now I have to build up another one. Not gonna lie, things have been rough the past few months and I was lucky to have a buffer to pull from, because it's been so difficult for me to draw. Since October, my spouse lost his job, I lost my job, he got a new one, I got a new one, and the money-related stress caused me to have a spectacular mental breakdown that lasted until...literally 3 days ago at the time of upload lol. If you've been wondering why I haven't been posting on social media, that's why. Even glancing at Twitter gave me the same feeling as sticking my tongue on a 9V battery because it was too overstimulating. I'm still psyching myself up to start being more active again.
A few days ago, I had an epiphany where I realized that the way I was thinking about the situation was making everything worse, and I came to terms with some unhealthy beliefs I've had about life. Things are starting to look up, and I've been able to draw again!
That being said, KNM will need to go on break as I get some more pages ready... AGAIN. I for real can't thank everyone enough for being patient with me as I work on my weird little psychological cow comic.
Also, money has been very tight, so if you've ever wanted to commission me, now is the time.
Thank you.
LMAO, so I literally just clicked on the main page of CF thinking "gee, I wonder if Krazy Noodle Massacre has updated lately; I'mma go check" and lo and behold
THEY SURE DID TINGLE, THEY SURELY DID it was the most most recently updated comic hahaha. My noodle senses!
Ah, come on Rhodes. He's not THAT scary.
Sheesh, I'm really sorry things have been so rough for you. For what it's worth, it's always a pleasure to see a new update from you, but I 100% understand that real life comes first. I do hope better times will be ahead of you. Not for the comic, but just for your sake.
Maybe a tiny bit for the comic. It's a good comic.
Dammit, after 20-something years I finally buried that commercial/song, and now it's gonna be stuck in my head for another decade!
Also I'd totally commission you if I wasn't in a similar spot. I'll talk with my fiance about saving up a bit though; he might wanna get one, too. :)
Welcome back! Always a treat when a new page is in my inbox, I loved the nightmare visuals throughout the whole scene
I hope things improve soon on your guys end of things, it's good to hear youre finding a healthier way to reframe things in the meantime though. Sometimes when life is a slog and theres no immediate fix, thats all we can do 🫂
To everyone else here, pls go check out those comms, I’ve paid for three of them and they’re straight fire.
Beautifully surreal page. It reminds me of a scene in one of Hitchock's b+w films, possibly Spellbound.
I sympathise with everything you have gone through lately. We live in a society where just about everything is controlled by money so losing both your jobs would understandably cause you great concern.
Art is something that's hard to force out when you aren't having fun with it, and it should be fun! I'm just glad I got to read your whole archive up to this point and I want to thank you for turning up on my comic so I could find your wonderful comic through you.
I look forward to your return!
I'm glad to hear that things are looking better for you now! We'll be patient :) Take however much time you need
you just had to get the shirley temple commercial stuck in my head tho why
This sequence was genuinely quite horrifying, poor Rhodes! You really captured the feel of late night creative frustration that spills over into everything else when you try to focus on other things. Very pertinent and relatable.
Also sorry to hear things have been rough for you, Lutz. I hope things start looking up for you very soon. That said, seeing your latest update here was lovely, I genuinely enjoy your art. Keep creating, it's great to see you again!
DEMPSEY OMFG
So sorry to hear about your mental health struggles, I have been there! I'm glad things are looking up a bit!
